Whenever any new functionality or permissions are delivered in a new release, the permissions associated to the new functionality are defaulted to off for all roles. This is to ensure that we don't inadvertently enable something for a user that they should not have access to. If you can't see any of the functionality explained below in your system, please make sure to have your System Administrator turn on permissions for the specific functionality. See Roles & Permissions for more information.
We're excited to announce yet another production release! A rundown of new features, improvements, and bug fixes are outlined below:
Move-In Links
You've always had the ability to move in a tenant from the QuikStor application interface by typing all of the tenant's information directly into the system. However, this approach presented some challenges, especially when conducting move-ins over the phone. Long names and addresses, language barriers, or simply the time required to manually enter information could result in unnecessary delays and data entry errors.
To address this, we now give you the ability to send tenants a move-in link via SMS or email so they can complete their information independently. The system will save any information you've already entered and send the tenant a personalized link. From that link, tenants can review data already entered, complete any additional required fields, and finalize the move-in process.
Automated Generation of USPS Form 3665
Many states require that you send delinquency-related documents (such as lien notices) via postal mail, and some states require proof of mailing. Many operators use USPS Certified Mail to comply with these requirements. However, Certified Mail is expensive. As of September 2025, the cost for a single-page letter is $4.35! As an alternative, some states allow a more cost-effective method of proof of delivery using a Certificate of Mailing, which costs only $1.75 as of September 2025. That's a massive savings when processing multiple mailings that require proof of delivery.
A USPS Certificate of Mailing typically involves obtaining a form from the USPS, manually entering the address of every recipient, taking the form to the post office with your mail, and receiving a stamp that serves as proof of delivery.
With this release, we've enabled the ability to automatically generate USPS Form 3665 (Certificate of Mailing) for any documents you're printing. This feature auto-populates the USPS form for you, so all you need to do is take it to the post office, saving you significant time. The USPS Form 3665 that QuikStor generates is a USPS-approved facsimile version of the original form, so you don't need to worry about compliance.
We didn't stop there. You'll notice that we automatically include a QR code on every row of the USPS Form 3665. We're thinking ahead for future functionality. In an upcoming version, we'll release a feature that lets you scan the USPS form, and QuikStor will automatically store the form as proof of delivery for every lease that received a document tied to the USPS Form 3665.
Corporate Email & SMS Inbox
You've always been able to send and receive SMS and email messages in QuikStor. Previously, you could only manage emails from each facility's individual inbox. Based on customer requests, we've released a corporate-level email and SMS inbox so you can manage communications across all of your facilities in one centralized location. This is especially helpful for remote operators and call centers, eliminating the need to locate which facility an email or SMS originated from.
Download Lists as CSV or XLSX
Our pursuit of continuous improvement, combined with feedback from our valued clients, often results in thoughtful functionality. With this release, we've started rolling out the ability to export any list view (such as Units, Tenants, etc.) as an Excel or CSV file. The data will be exported based on any filters you've applied. For example, want a quick export of all tenants with the last name Smith? Simply set the filter on the Tenants screen and click to export.
This functionality has been rolled out to most lists in the system interface. In future versions, we'll cover all remaining lists and add PDF export to the available options.
Significant API Enhancements
We've always been proud to say that QuikStor plays nice with everyone, as exemplified by our Open API. We're constantly working to improve system exposure via API so you can integrate with virtually any other system. With this release, we've significantly enhanced our API as noted below:
