Create a Tenant Note

Learn how to add a note to a tenant profile to record communication preferences or other tenant-specific information.

Overview

A Tenant Note is a text record attached to a specific tenant profile that captures information about that person, such as communication preferences, account history, or special instructions.

Tenant Notes stay with tenants regardless of which unit they occupy. This article explains how to add a Tenant Note from the Tenant page.

Prerequisites

  • The tenant exists in the facility.

Step 1: Locate the Tenant

Use the Facility Switcher at the top of your page and the left side panel to find a tenant you want to add a note to.

  1. Select a facility name in the Facility Switcher.

  2. Click Tenants in the left side panel. The List of All Current Tenants page opens.

  3. Click a tenant's name to open their profile.

Step 2: Open the Create New Note Window

You are now on the Tenant page. Open the Unit Notes tab to create a Tenant Note.

  1. Click the Notes tab on the Tenant page.

  2. Click Create New Note. The Create New Note window opens.

Step 3: Enter the Tenant Note and Save

The Create New Note window contains a single required field for your note text.

  1. Enter your Tenant Note in the Note field.

  2. Click Create New Note.

The note appears in the notes list on the Notes tab with your name and the date it was created. Hover over the note in the Note column to see its full content.

⚠️ Warning: A Tenant Note cannot be edited or deleted after it is saved. Review the note text before clicking Create New Note.
