Create a Unit Note

Learn how to add a note to a unit to document its physical condition or other unit-specific information.

Overview

A Unit Note is a text record attached to a specific unit that captures information about the physical space, such as its condition between tenancies, maintenance history, or access details. Unit Notes stay attached to the unit regardless of which tenant occupies it.

This article explains how to create a unit note from the Unit Notes page.

Prerequisites

  • The unit exists in the facility.

Step 1: Locate a Unit

Use the Facility Switcher and Facility Search Input at the top of your page to find a unit you want to add a note to.

  1. Select a facility in the Facility Switcher.

  2. Enter a Unit Number in the Search Facility Input.

  3. Click the Unit Number in the dropdown. The Unit Overview page opens.

Step 2: Navigate to the Unit Notes

You are now on the Unit Overview page. Navigate to the Unit Notes page to enter your note.

  1. Click the Notes tab.

  2. Click the Add New button in the top-right corner. The Create New Note window opens.

Step 3: Enter the Note and Save

The Create New Note window contains a single required field for your note text.

  1. Enter your note in the Note Field.

  2. Click Create a Note.

The note appears in the notes list on the Notes page with your name and the date it was created. Hover over the note in the Note column to see its full content.
