Assign Auto-Included Items via Template Import

Use the Unit Auto-Included Items template to set which items and how many of each are auto-included on one or more units at once.

Overview

Auto-included items are retail items that are automatically added to a unit and billed during the move-in process. This article shows you how to assign auto-included items to one or more units at once by downloading a template, entering item quantities for each unit, and importing the completed file. By the end, your selected items will be shown on the Move-In screen during the next move-in.

Prerequisites

Before you start, confirm the following are in place. These conditions are configured at the Corporate level:

  • The Retail Item permission on your role has Create, Read, and Edit enabled for the desired facility.

  • The items you want to assign are created and assigned to the facility.

Step 1: Download the Unit Auto-Included Items Template

On the facility's List of All Units page, download the CSV Unit Auto-Included Items template which you will populate.

  1. Navigate to the facility that contains the units you want to assign items to.

  2. Click Units in the sidebar menu. The List of All Units page opens.

  3. Navigate to the Export Data or Templates button and click it.

  4. Select Unit Auto-Included Items from the drop-down menu. The template downloads to your device.

Step 2: Fill In the Template

Open the downloaded template and enter the quantity of each item to auto-assign to each unit.

  1. Open the downloaded template in your spreadsheet application.

  2. Enter the number of each item you want to auto-assign to a specific unit in the relevant fields.

  3. Save the file.

ℹ️ Info: The template's starting content depends on the facility's items. If no items are assigned to the facility, the template is empty. If items are assigned to the facility, the template is already populated with those items, and you fill in the quantity for each unit.

Step 3: Import the Completed File

Upload your completed template back into QuikStor to start the unit import.

  1. Return to the List of All Units page.

  2. Navigate to the Import Data button and click it.

  3. Select Unit Auto-Included Items from the drop-down menu.
