Import Unit Delinquency Templates in Bulk

Learn how to assign Delinquency Templates to many units at once using a CSV template.

Overview

A Delinquency Template is a configured sequence of actions, notifications, and fees that QuikStor applies to a unit when its tenant becomes delinquent. Delinquency Templates are normally assigned to one unit at a time from the Unit Setup page.

This article explains how to assign existing Delinquency Templates to many units at once using a CSV template imported from the List of All Units page.

Prerequisites

  • At least one Delinquency Template is assigned to a facility.

  • Units that will receive a Delinquency Template already exist at a facility.

ℹ️ Info: Delinquency Templates are created at the Corporate level and then assigned to a facility. A facility can have multiple assigned Delinquency Templates, but a unit can have only one Delinquency Template at a time.

Step 1: Navigate to the List of All Units Page

To start importing Delinquency Templates in bulk, navigate to the List of All Units page.

  1. Select a facility using the Facility Switcher.

  2. Click Units in the left side menu. The List of All Units page opens and displays every unit at the selected facility.

Step 2: Download the Unit Delinquency Templates

The Unit Delinquency Templates list every unit at the facility and provide a column where a Delinquency Template name can be entered for each one.

  1. Click the Export icon (down arrow) in the upper-right corner of the List of All Units page.

  2. Click Unit Delinquency Templates in the Export Templates dropdown. The CSV file is downloaded to your device.

Step 3: Review Unit Delinquency Template

The downloaded template contains four columns. Each column controls a specific part of the Delinquency Template assignment for a unit listed in that row.

Column

Required for Validation

Accepted Values

UnitNumber

Yes

The unique number of an existing unit at a facility.

Category

No

The Unit Category (for example, Storage, Parking).

UnitGroup

No

The Unit Group a unit belongs to.

DelinquencyTemplate

No

The exact name of a Delinquency Template assigned to a facility.

⚠️ Warning: Do not modify the UnitNumber column. The system uses this value to match each row to an existing unit. If a UnitNumber is missing or changed, the row fails validation, and the import cannot be completed.

Step 4: Fill in the Unit Delinquency Template Column

Enter a Delinquency Template name in the DelinquencyTemplate column for each unit that should receive a template.

  1. Enter the exact name of an existing Delinquency Template for one or more units (for example, Default Delinquency Process).

  2. Leave the cell empty for any unit that should not receive a Delinquency Template.

  3. Click Save to confirm the changes.

💡Tip: Enter one Delinquency Template name per unit. Any Delinquency Template assigned to a facility can be entered in the Delinquency Template cell.

Step 5: Upload the Template

Once the template is filled in, upload it from the List of All Units page.

  1. Click the Import Data icon (up arrow) in the upper-right corner of the List of All Units page.

  2. Click Unit Delinquency Templates in the Import Data dropdown.

  3. In the Import Data pop-up window, drag the CSV file into the upload area or click Browse to select it from the device.

  4. Click Upload File. The system opens a preview screen in QuikStor titled Delinquency Templates, showing every row in the file.

ℹ️ Info: A unit without a Delinquency Template does not fail validation. The row is imported, and the unit remains without an assigned template.

Step 6: Review the Imported Unit Delinquency Templates

The preview screen displays each row with its Unit Number, Category, Unit Group, and Delinquency Template values. Use this screen to verify values and correct errors before completing the import.

  1. Review the Delinquency Template column for each row.

  2. Click the dropdown in any Delinquency Template cell to select a different template from the list.

  3. Click Add Row to add a new unit and its Delinquency Template to the table.

  4. Click the minus icon at the end of a row to remove that row from the import.

Step 7: Complete the Import

Once all values are correct, complete the import:

  1. Click Upload CSV in the lower-right corner of the preview screen.

  2. In the Approve Delinquency Templates Import pop-up window, click Approve Import to apply the changes.

The Delinquency Templates are assigned to the listed units. Each unit now follows the delinquency process defined by its assigned template.
