Excluding a tenant from delinquency removes the lease from an active delinquency process. In this case, the unit status changes from Delinquent to Occupied, and the tenant's balance stays on the lease.
Facilities use this option when management decides to stop the delinquency process for a specific tenant. For example, after a debt agreement.
The workflow takes only a few clicks and ends with a confirmation window.
Prerequisites
Exclude Tenant (Delinquency) permissions at the Facility level.
The lease is included in an active Delinquency process. The unit shows the Delinquent status.
Step 1: Switch to a Facility
The exclusion is performed on the unit page of a specific facility.
Step 2: Open the List of All Units
All units at the selected facility appear on a single page.
The List of All Units page opens.
Step 3: Open a Delinquent Unit
Find a unit with a tenant you want to exclude from delinquency. Delinquent units are marked with a red DLQ label in the Unit column.
The unit's Overview page opens.
Step 4: Exclude the Tenant from Delinquency
Find the Exclude From Delinquency option at the bottom of the tenant panel on the right side of the Overview tab.
ℹ️ Info: Excluding a tenant from Delinquency does not clear the debt. The balance stays on the lease until the tenant pays it.
Step 5: Confirm the Exclusion
Use the confirmation window to finish the delinquency exclusion process.
You have successfully excluded the tenant from the delinquency. The unit shows the Occupied status, and the Include In Delinquency option replaces the exclusion option.
