Import Unit Notes

Bring your unit notes with you when you move to QuikStor.

When you want to migrate your facilities to QuikStor from another system, the history attached to each unit shouldn't get left behind. We've added bulk import for unit notes so you can carry over notes from a previous system - old or recent - and have them land on the right units, without re-entering anything by hand.

The import runs at the facility level using a CSV. To review imported notes, open a unit and go to its Notes tab, where each note shows its content, who created it, and the creation date.

Notes tab under Units showing information about the imported unit note

Heads up: Imported notes are stamped with today's date as their creation date - the original date from your old system is not preserved. If the original date matters, include it in the note text itself (for example, at the start of the note) before you import. Review your mapping carefully before approving, since the import writes directly to your units.

Import Tenant Notes

Bring your tenant notes with you when you move to QuikStor.

Tenant history matters as much as unit history when you're migrating. We've added the same bulk import for tenant notes, so notes tied to individual tenants come across with everything else instead of being re-entered one at a time.

The process mirrors the unit notes import. To review imported notes, open a tenant and go to the Notes tab, where each note shows its content, who created it, and the creation date.

Heads up: As with Unit Notes, imported Tenant Notes are stamped with today's date as the creation date - the original date is not carried over. If you need the original date, put it in the note text before importing.

Import End User Documents

Carry your end-user documents over from your old system.

Notes aren't the only thing worth keeping in a migration. We've added the ability to bring end-user documents over from a previous system, so the paperwork attached to your tenants comes with you to QuikStor.

This import is handled with help from our team. If you'd like to migrate your end-user documents, contact our Support team.

Next Planned Release

Our next production release is scheduled for 2 to 3 weeks from now. We will post release notes as soon as that release is available.
