Overview
A Unit Group is how QuikStor organizes units by custom-shared characteristics. You create Unit Groups at the corporate level, then assign them to one or more facilities. Once assigned, a Unit Group becomes available as an option when adding units to that facility.
Prerequisites
At least one facility must already exist in the company.
Corporate-level permissions.
Step 1: Create a Unit Group
To create a Unit Group, you need to navigate to the Unit Groups feature that is available at the Corporate level.
Use the Facility Switcher and select Corporate.
Navigate to Unit Groups in the left side menu and click List. The List of All Unit Groups page opens.
Click Create New Unit Group and then Create Unit Group Manually. The Create New Unit Group window opens.
Enter a Unit Group Name and Unit Group Description. For example: 11 x 30 Parking, and 11 x 30 ft covered parking unit with electrical outlet.
Click Create Unit Group. The active unsigned Unit Group appears on the List of All Unit Groups.
ℹ️Info: You cannot delete Unit Groups. Instead, make them Active or Inactive using the Unit Group Status switch on the Create New Unit Group window.
Step 2: Assign a Unit Group to a Facility
Assigning a Unit Group enables us to add a unit to a facility (an assigned Unit Group will appear as an option in the dropdown menu when creating a unit).
Click Assignment under Unit Groups in the left side panel.
Select a facility at the top of the page to which you are assigning a Unit Group.
Select a Unit Group.
Click Assign Unit Groups to confirm the assignment.
Make sure the Unit Group is assigned and active on the List of All Unit Groups.
ℹ️ Info: You can assign the same Unit Group to multiple facilities. Repeat this step for each facility as needed.
