October 15, 2025 Production Release

PDF export for filtered lists, payment completed screen, unpaid charges email tag, SMS filters and infinity scroll, credit card rate limiting, delinquency fee indicators, move-in validations, and expanded payment and move-out API endpoints.

Whenever any new functionality or permissions are delivered in a new release, the permissions associated to the new functionality are defaulted to off for all roles. This is to ensure that we don't inadvertently enable something for a user that they should not have access to. If you can't see any of the functionality explained below in your system, please make sure to have your System Administrator turn on permissions for the specific functionality. See Roles & Permissions for more information.

We're excited to announce yet another production release! A rundown of new features, improvements, and bug fixes in this release are outlined below:

Export Filtered/Sorted Lists in PDF Format

There are many lists and tables in QuikStor. Previously, we gave you the ability to export any filtered/sorted list as a CSV or XLSX file. In this release, we’ve added the ability to export these filtered/sorted lists in a PDF format. This is particularly helpful if you want to quickly export or print a list.

For example, if you have several overlocks to place on delinquent units, you can simply filter/export the task list as PDF, print, then take the list with you as you walk around the facility to place the overlocks.

Additional Lists Supporting CSV/XLSX/PDF Export

We’ve added Tenant Notes, Unit Notes, and Lockout Settings to the list of tables that you can export as CSV, XLSX, and PDF.

Payment Completed Screen

Previously, after successfully taking a payment in the system, you would be redirected to the previous screen (e.g. the Tenant Detail or Unit List screen). Customers requested that we implement a “Payment Completed” screen similar to the “Move In Completed” screen so they can easily generate a printed receipt, if needed. With this release, we delivered this requested functionality.

New Email/Document Tag for Unpaid Charges {{l.unpaidtable}}

When designing your email and document templates, QuikStor provides a plethora of tags that let you customize what information is included in the communication. When creating Pre Lien and Lien notice templates, many jurisdictions require that you include the balance and all charges associated with that balance.

Historically, users used the {{d.trledg}} tag which outputs the entire lease financial ledger. However, some customers reported that this list can get very long if the tenant habitually pays late. This results in having a large number of pages in your printed documents, which increases printing/postage costs.

With this release, we introduced a new tag, {{l.unpaidtable}}. This tag only displays the unpaid line items which can dramatically reduce the number of rows in the table, as compared to the {{d.trledg}} tag.

SMS Enhancements

We've delivered three enhancements related to SMS functionality in QuikStor with this release.

SMS Filters

In the Facility SMS inbox, you can now filter Read/Unread conversations. In the Corporate SMS inbox, you can filter conversations by Read/Unread as well as by facility.

SMS Conversation Infinity Scroll

Most modern software systems, QuikStor included, use a concept called “Lazy Loading” when dealing with very large amounts of data. This ensures that the interface loads very quickly and will add additional data as needed so you don't have to wait a long time for the screen to load.

With this release, we delivered an “Infinity Scroll” to the SMS Inbox views. Whenever you scroll in the inbox or conversation, the system will continue to load more conversations/messages to infinity (or at least until there are no more conversations/messages).

Tenant Avatar on SMS Communications

If you or the tenant have uploaded an avatar image for the tenant record, it will now display in the SMS communications view as shown below:

Added Security Deposit Column to Daily Snapshot Report

We’ve added security deposit information to the Daily Snapshot transactions tables.

Implemented Rate Limiting to the Credit Card Payment Process

Fraudsters are everywhere! Some hackers try to run multiple, random credit card numbers to see if they get a hit on a good one. While we’ve had processes in place to restrict credit card attempts to only authorized users, if one of your tenant’s login credentials gets compromised, a hacker can attempt to run different credit card numbers.

We’ve eliminated the potential for this by implementing rate limits to the credit card transaction process. We limit failed credit card attempts to a few and will deactivate a tenant’s access if your system suspects that a tenant’s credentials are leaked and a hacker has taken control of their account.

Delinquency Process Overview One-Time/Recurring Fee Indicator

We’ve added a clear indicator in the Delinquency Process overview so you can visually distinguish between a one-time Add Fee task and a recurring Add Fee task. This makes it easier to identify if you are managing many facilities across jurisdictions with varying rules on how delinquency fees can be applied.

Additional Validations

Unit Inactive Validation for Lease Import

When performing an import of leases from another system to QuikStor, the lease import process will now include a validation that will not allow a lease to be imported into units marked as inactive in QuikStor.

Enhanced Move-In Validation

QuikStor included multiple validations that will block a move-in to a unit that is not properly configured. With this release, we’ve included checks to ensure that the unit has assigned Delinquency Template and Coverage Settings that are valid.

Additional API Endpoints and Enhancements to Existing Endpoints

We’ve added or enhanced the API endpoints listed below.

  • Fetch Lease Balance due

  • Fetch Tenant Balance due

  • Complete Move-In Process with Payment

  • Process Lease Payment

  • Start Lightbox Payment Session

  • Process Tenant Payment

  • Initialize Move-Out Process for a Tenant

General Bug Fixes & Improvements

Last, but certainly not least, we fixed a handful of issues in the software. In this release, we've addressed the following customer reported issues:

  • Fixed misleading or inaccurate labels and text in various areas, including the description of “Expected Move Out.”

  • Fixed the issue where partial SMS messages were sent if a user quickly hits Ctrl+Enter.

  • Fixed the PTD label in the tenant portal that was inaccurately showing PTD after a move in transaction as being off by one day.

As always, thanks for reading about the details of this release. Our next production release is expected to be delivered in the last week of October 2025. We'll post release notes as soon as that release becomes available.
