Creating a Google Tag Manager Account to Track Tenant Portal Activity

Create Google Tag Manager Account

Sign in with your Google Analytics user.

Click "Create Account"

Fill out the required details:

  1. Parent Company or Facility Name

    1. Use Parent Company name if you track all facilities analytics under one Google Analytics report. This is most common when all facilities are branded the same i.e. Acme Storage - Kona, Acme Storage - Orlando, Acme Storage - Los Angeles, etc.

    2. Use Facility Name if you track each facility separately. This is most common with management companies, for example, who may manage several brands that are not consolidated under one unified brand name. If each facility has its own unique website address, typically you would use the site name.

  2. Main URL

    1. Parent Company: Use your main website url, i.e. "myacmestorage.com"

    2. Facility Name: Use the facility url, i.e. "acmestoragekona.com"

  3. Select "Web"

  4. Click Create

A window will appear with the Google Tag manager installation code. You can ignore this for now. Click the "X" to exit.

You now have an empty Google Tag Manager account and we're ready to get started.
