Overview
Marking a unit as damaged records physical damage and assigns someone to fix it. The damaged status stays on the unit until the related task is resolved, but the unit remains rentable while the repair is pending.
Use this feature when a unit has damage that should be documented and handed off for repair - for example, a hole in the wall or a broken shelf.
Prerequisites
The unit must exist in a facility.
Step 1: Access the Damaged Unit
To mark a unit as damaged, open the unit from the List of All Units page.
Choose a facility from the Facility Switcher.
Click Units in the left sidebar to get the List of All Units.
Use the Unit Search Input to find a unit you want to mark as damaged.
Click on the Unit Number to access the Unit Overview page.
Step 2: Mark a Unit as Damaged
On the Unit Overview page, use the status panel on the right side to flag the unit as damaged and create the repair task in a single action.
Locate the Unit is not Damaged section.
Click Mark as Damaged to open the Mark as Damaged window.
Enter the Task Name in the input field.
Explain why the unit is being marked as damaged in the Description box.
Select the user responsible for handling the repair in the Assign task to field.
Click Mark as Damaged & Create Task.
ℹ️ Info: The Task Name, Description, and Assign task to are required fields. You cannot complete this action without filling in these fields.
Step 3: Find and Resolve the Unit Task
After you have marked the unit as damaged, the system creates the Unit Task.
Click Dashboard in the left sidebar.
Locate the Task Name on the Dashboard page.
Click on the Task Name to open the task.
Click Complete Task if the problem described in the task has been resolved.
ℹ️ Info: Completing the task automatically changes the unit status back to not damaged.
