Use these steps when a unit cannot be rented out - for example, when it has structural damage that makes it unsafe or unsuitable for a tenant, such as a broken door that cannot be locked.
Marking a unit as unrentable removes it from Move-In and Reservation availability until the status is reversed.
Prerequisites
The unit must exist in the facility.
Step 1: Access the Unit
To mark a unit as unrentable, start by choosing a facility and accessing the unit.
Choose a facility from the Facility Switcher.
Navigate to Units in the left sidebar.

Find a unit you want to mark as unrentable.
Enter its Unit Number in the Search Facility Input.
Click on the Unit Number to access the Unit Overview page.
Step 2: Mark a Unit as Unrentable
Use the status panel on the right side of the Unit Overview page to configure the unit rentability.
On the Unit Overview page, locate the Unit is Rentable section.
Click Mark as Unrentable.
Enter a reason in the Reason text field to explain why the unit is unrentable.
Click Mark as Unrentable to confirm.
ℹ️ The Reason field is optional, but it is recommended to enter a reason so your team has a clear record of why the unit was taken out of service.
