Find Vacant Damaged Units Using Filters

This article explains how to use status-based filters to find vacant, damaged units that are still part of the active inventory and can be rented.

Overview

A damaged unit is not automatically removed from rental. Some units have minor damage such as a small dent on the door or a scratched wall and can still be rented. Others have major damage such as a missing door, a broken lock, or water damage and are marked as unrentable until repairs are complete.

Because a damaged unit can be either rentable or unrentable, and either vacant or occupied, facility staff may find it difficult to locate the exact units they need from a long list. Filters solve this problem by narrowing unit lists down according to a specific status combination.

This article shows how to find units that are vacant, damaged, and still rentable using unit filters on the List of All Units page.

Step 1: Open the List of All Units Page

Start by opening the List of All Units page.

  1. At the top of your screen, click the Facility Switcher and select a facility you want to view.

  2. In the left side panel, click Units. The List of All Units page opens.

Step 2: Locate the Unit Filter Bar

The Unit Filter Bar is displayed directly below the List of All Units page title and contains all crucial filters for ranging units.

  1. Look for the gray filter bar below the List of All Units heading.

  2. Identify the five status-based filters: Status, Active, Damaged, Rentable, and Delinquent.

Step 3: Activate the Status Filter

When you select the Vacant status from the Status Filter dropdown, the List of All Units page filters the results and displays only the units that are currently vacant.

  1. Click the Status Filter in the Unit Filter Bar.

  2. Select the Vacant status from the dropdown. The unit list refreshes to show only units that match the selected status.

šŸ’”Tip: If necessary, select multiple statuses at once within a filter.

Step 4: Filter Units By Active State

The Active Filter shows whether a unit is part of the facility's active inventory.

  1. Click the Active Filter.

  2. Select Yes in the dropdown to show active units.

šŸ’”Tip: In QuikStor, units are generally not deleted. Instead, you can set units to Inactive to remove them from day-to-day operations.

Step 5: Apply the Damaged Filter

In addition to the Status and Active filters, the Damaged Filter finds all units flagged as damaged.

  1. Click the Damaged Filter.

  2. Select Yes in the dropdown to get the list of damaged units.

ā„¹ļø Info: The red dot in the status box indicates that the unit is damaged.

Step 6: Apply the Rentable Filter

If you want to find out which of the filtered units are rentable, use the Rentable Filter.

  1. In the Unit Filter Bar, click the Rentable Filter.

  2. Select Yes in the dropdown to filter rentable units.

Step 7: Review the Results

The filtered list contains every vacant damaged unit at the selected facility that is active and rentable.

  1. Review each unit in the list to assess its condition.

  2. Click a Unit Number to open the Unit Overview tab of a specific unit.
