Overview
The Unit Groups View organizes a facility's units into the Unit Groups they belong to, so you can review occupancy, pricing, and availability for each group in one place. The view is built for a quick read on how each group is performing and if you want to start common actions without leaving the page. From here, you can see group-level occupancy, street rates, and specials, and you can start a reservation, a move-in, or update the street rate.
How It Works
This section explains how the Unit Groups View is organized and how it behaves while you use it.
How Units are Grouped
In the Unit Groups View, units are displayed grouped by the Unit Group they belong to. Each Unit Group appears as its own section on the page. A section brings together every unit in that group along with the group's occupancy, pricing, and specials.
What Each Group Section Shows
Each Unit Group section shows the following information:
The Unit Group name.
The occupancy percentage for the group.
How many units are occupied out of the total (for example, 1 out of 5).
The area range for units in the group.
The Best Price per month for the group.
The Start Reservation, Start Move-In, and Update Street Rate buttons.
The street rates for the group, listed by class.
A list of available specials.
A list of the units in the group, shown as labels.

Street Rate and Best Price are Different Values
The Unit Groups View shows two kinds of pricing, and they mean different things:
Street Rate - The set price of a unit by class - Economy, Standard, or Premium - and it may be shown as a range per class.
Best Price - The lowest available price for a unit in the group, with any specials included.
In other words, the Street Rate reflects the standard price for a class, while the Best Price reflects the most affordable option currently available in the group.
Furthermore, the Best Price is calculated on the first month's price only. When a group has more than one special, the Best Price reflects whichever special produces the lowest first-month price.
This means a special that lowers the first month the most sets the Best Price, even if a different special would save the tenant more over the full term. For example, if one special gives 10% off for a year and another gives 15% off the first month only, the Best Price shows the price from the 15% special, because it produces the lower first-month price.
How Unit Status is Shown
In the Unit Groups View, each unit appears as a label, and the label color reflects the unit's status. The colors map to statuses as follows:
Green - Vacant
Yellow - Occupied
Violet - Reserved
Gray - Unavailable
Red - Delinquent
Blue - Company
Some units also have a condition, which is shown as a concentric circle inside the label. The circle colors map to conditions as follows:
Gray circle - Unrentable
Red circle - Damaged
Violet circle - Both unrentable and damaged
Because both status and condition are shown by color, you can also hover over any unit label to see its details in text, including the unit's attributes and, if present, its condition.

Filtering and Searching
You can narrow down the units shown in the Unit Groups View using the search bar and filters on the left side of the filter track. The following filters are available:
Status - Filter by Vacant, Reserved, Company, Occupied, or Unavailable.
Category - Filter by any of the available unit categories.
Dimension - Search for a dimension or select one using the checkboxes.
Dimension filter with its search and checkbox options
Area - Enter a size range using the two input fields, Size From and Size To.

ℹ️ Info: Occupied filter also filters Delinquent units.
Saving and Resetting Preferences
On the right side of the filter track, you can save your filter preferences so they apply the next time you open the view. You can also reset your preferences to clear them by clicking on the X icon.
Downloading the View as a PDF
You can download the current view as a PDF file using the download button on the right side of the filter track.
Adding Units
The Add Unit button in the top-right corner lets you add a unit. You can add a unit manually or by using a CSV file.
Importing and Exporting Data
The top-right corner of the page includes an Import Data button and an Export Data or Templates button. Import Data lets you bring unit data into the platform, and Export Data or Templates lets you export data or download templates.
Starting a Reservation
When you click Start Reservation for a Unit Group, the unit's Overview tab opens with the reservation drawer open. The reservation applies to a unit selected from those available at the group's Best Price, and any available specials are included. If more than one unit shares that price, the platform selects one of them at random. You can then complete the reservation from the drawer.

Starting a Move-In
When you click Start Move-In for a Unit Group, the Move-In page opens on the Tenant Information tab. The move-in applies to a unit selected from those available at the group's Best Price. If more than one unit shares that price, the platform selects one of them at random. From there, you can proceed with the move-in as usual.

ℹ️ Info: If a unit does not have a coverage and a delinquency template assigned, then you cannot move someone into the unit, but you can make a reservation for that unit.
Updating the Street Rate for a Group
When you click Update Street Rate for a Unit Group, the Update Street Rate modal opens. The modal has an input field where you enter the new street rate in USD ($), an Update Street Rate button to apply the change, and a Cancel button to close the modal without saving.
Update Street Rate modal
⚠️ Warning: Updating the street rate from this modal changes the street rate for every unit in the group, regardless of its class.
Opening a Unit
Each unit in a group appears as a label. When you click a unit label, that unit's Overview tab opens.
FAQs
1. What is the difference between Street Rate and Best Price?
In the Unit Groups View, the Street Rate is the set price of a unit by class - Economy, Standard, or Premium - and it may be shown as a range per class. The Best Price is the lowest available price for a unit in the group, with any available specials included. In short, the Street Rate reflects the standard price for a class, while the Best Price reflects the most affordable option currently available in the group.
2. Which unit does Start Reservation apply to?
When you click Start Reservation for a Unit Group, the reservation applies to a unit available at the group's Best Price. If more than one unit shares that price, the platform selects one of them at random, so it may not be the first unit shown. The unit's Overview tab opens with the reservation drawer open, so you can complete the reservation from there.
3. Does updating the street rate affect only one class of unit?
No. When you update the street rate from the Update Street Rate modal in the Unit Groups View, the change applies to every unit in the group, regardless of its class. The update is not limited to Economy, Standard, or Premium units on their own.
4. Can I make a reservation for a unit that has no coverage or delinquency template assigned?
Yes. In the Unit Groups View, you can start a reservation for a unit even if it does not have a coverage and a delinquency template assigned. The reservation is not blocked by a missing coverage or delinquency template.
5. Why does the Units page open in the Unit Groups View when I return to it?
The Units page remembers the last view you used, similar to a sticky session. If you last used the Unit Groups View, then leave the Units page and return, the Units page opens in the Unit Groups View again until you switch to a different view.
