Overview
Facilities include tenants in delinquency when the reason for the exclusion is no longer valid. A common example is a tenant who was temporarily excluded after promising a payment, and the payment never arrived.
In this article, you will learn how to include a tenant in the delinquency process.
Prerequisites
Delinquency - Exclude Tenant permission at the Facility level.
Step 1: Switch to a Facility
Start the workflow by choosing a facility in the Facility Switcher. The facility should contain a unit of the excluded tenant.
Select a facility in the Facility Switcher.
Step 2: Open the List of All Units Page
The List of All Units page shows all units at the selected facility.
Click Units in the left-side menu.
The List of All Units page opens.
Step 3: Choose a Unit with the Excluded Tenant
Find the row with the excluded tenant, then open that unit. You will change the tenant's setting on the unit's Overview page.
Click the unit with the tenant that needs to be included.
The unit's Overview page opens.
Step 4: Include the Tenant in Delinquency
You are on the Unit Overview page. Here you can see all crucial information related to this specific tenant.
Locate the tenant panel in the lower-right corner.
Click Include In Delinquency at the bottom of the tenant panel.
A confirmation window opens.
ℹ️ Info: The Include In Delinquency option appears only when the tenant is currently excluded from delinquency. If the tenant is already included, you will see the Exclude option instead.
Step 5: Confirm the Inclusion
The confirmation dialog shows the tenant name that will be included.
Click the Include In Delinquency button.
The tenant is now included in the Delinquency process. The unit status changes to Delinquent after the next Overnight Process.
ℹ️ Info: The Overnight Process (OVP) is an automatic system process that runs after midnight and recalculates lease statuses, including delinquency. Some changes in the application take effect only after the OVP runs, not at the moment of the change.
