Overview
A Coverage Plan is a protection plan a tenant can purchase to cover potential damage or loss of stored goods. Coverage Plans are normally assigned to one unit at a time from the Unit Setup page.
This article explains how to assign existing Coverage Plans to many units at once using a CSV template imported from the List of All Units page.
Prerequisites
At least one Coverage Plan is assigned to a facility.
Units that will receive Coverage Plans already exist at a facility.
Step 1: Navigate to the List of All Units Page
To start importing Unit Coverages in bulk, navigate to the List of All Units page.
Select a facility using the Facility Switcher.
Click Units in the left side menu. The List of All Units page opens and displays every unit at the selected facility.
Step 2: Download the Export Unit Coverages Template
The CSV template lists every unit at the facility and provides columns where Coverage Plans can be entered for each one.
Click the Export icon (down arrow) in the upper-right corner of the List of All Units page.
Click Unit Coverages in the Export Templates dropdown. The CSV file is downloaded to your device.
Step 3: Fill in the Unit Coverages Template
The downloaded Unit Coverages template contains seven columns. Each column controls a specific part of the Coverage assignment for the unit listed in that row.

To fill in the column cells with the accepted values, see the table above.
Enter TRUE or FALSE in RequiredForOnlineMoveIn for each unit.
Enter TRUE or FALSE in RequiredForApplicationMoveIn for each unit.
Enter TRUE in each Coverage Plan column the unit should receive, and FALSE in each Coverage Plan column the unit should not receive.
Enter the exact name of one assigned Coverage Plan in the DefaultCoverage column (for example, $5000 Coverage).
Click Save to confirm the changes.
⚠️ Warning: Do not modify the UnitNumber column. The system uses this value to match each row to an existing unit. If a UnitNumber is missing or changed, the row fails validation, and the import cannot be completed.
⚠️ Warning: RequiredForOnlineMoveIn and RequiredForApplicationMoveIn are required columns for the Import Unit Coverages feature. A row with an empty value in either column fails validation.
Step 4: Upload the Unit Coverages Template
Once the Unit Coverages template is filled in, upload it from the List of All Units page.
Click the Import Data icon (up arrow) in the upper-right corner of the List of All Units page.
Click Unit Coverages in the Import Data dropdown.
In the Import Data pop-up window, drag the saved Unit Coverages template into the upload area or click Browse to select it from the device.
Click Upload File. The system opens a preview screen in QuikStor titled Coverages, showing every row in the file.
Step 5: Make Final Corrections in the Preview
The preview screen is the perfect opportunity to adjust values before the import is applied. Use it to fix validation errors, change Coverage selections, and confirm the Default Coverage for each unit.
Open the Required On Onsite Move-In dropdown for each flagged row and select Yes or No.
Open the Required On Online Move-In dropdown for each flagged row and select Yes or No.
Click a Coverage Plan button to add a plan to the unit. The button changes color to blue, which indicates the plan is selected.
Click the selected Coverage Plan button again to remove that plan from the unit.
Review the Default Coverage value for each row and adjust it manually if a different plan should be the Default.
Click the minus icon at the end of a row to remove that row from the import.
ℹ️ Info: The Default Coverage column updates automatically based on the Coverage Plan buttons selected in each row. Selecting a single Coverage Plan sets it as the Default. Selecting multiple Coverage Plans keeps the first selected plan as the Default.
Step 6: Complete the Import
Click Upload CSV in the lower-right corner of the preview screen.
In the Approve Coverages Import pop-up window, click Approve Import to apply the changes.
That is it! You have imported Coverage Plans to the listed units. Each unit now displays the assigned Coverage Plans and its Default Coverage on the Unit Setup page.
